Standard transmission have several advantages over automatics which includes they are cheaper and easier to maintain. They get better gas mileage and more precise control over the car while driving.

The manual transmission components consist of a bell housing, transmission case, and extension housing. The bell housing encloses the flywheel, clutch release bearing, and clutch disengagement release lever, and a connection to the engine (refer to a manufacturer's repair manual).
