Manual Transmission Repair.
Escondido Transmission has been servicing and maintaining standard or manual transmissions in the Escondido for over 20 years.
Vehicles equipped with a manual transmissions are sometimes referred to as a stick shift or standard transmission. Before automatic transmissions, standard transmissions were the only option. No matter what you call them, standard transmission, manual transmission, gearbox, or 3 to 6 speed we have repaired all of them over the last 20 years.
Manual transmissions are not as prevalent now as they were in 1950 through 1970, and has resulted in fewer people knowing how to use them. Standard transmission have several advantages over automatics which includes they are cheaper and easier to maintain. They get better gas mileage and more precise control over the car while driving.
The manual transmission components consist of a bell housing, transmission case, and extension housing. The bell housing encloses the flywheel, clutch release bearing, and clutch disengagement release lever, and a connection to the engine (refer to a manufacturer's repair manual). The transmission case contains a main-shaft, counter shaft, reverse idler shaft, and shift levers. The extension housing contains the output shaft as well as the speedometer drive gear or the vehicle speed sensor.

San Diego Clutch Repair and Service. The clutch repair specials include all four pieces of the clutch, resurfacing of the flywheel and labor. Service the clutch on a regular basis to avoid clutch repairs.
A complete clutch repair is diagnosing the cause of the problem and replacing all worn or damaged clutch components. Clutch component parts do wear and some self adjust to compensate for normal wear in clutch disc friction material.

High operating temperatures reduce the gear lube's ability to lubricate, which can lead to axle and bearing failure leading to major differential rpairs. Differential service includes draining &fillin with new gear lube. to avoid expensive repairs. Most manufacturers recommend differential service every 30.000 miles.
